The Atlin Museum proudly features an IRI-A Steam Shovel, a rare and significant artifact. According to the Northern Illinois Steam Power Club, only six of this type remain in existence globally, and the one housed in the Atlin Museum is the sole representative in Canada today. The restored steam shovel made a notable debut on the Canada Day weekend, specifically on July 3, 2004, when it was fired up and set in motion. Remarkably, it stands as one of the only two operational IRI-A Steam Shovels in North America.
